IEP Meeting Steps

Do you have an IEP meeting coming up? If so make sure your IEP team follows these steps.

An IEP meeting is performed in STEPS. You can not proceed to the next STEP before completing the STEP before.

IEP Meeting STEP 1 – Present Levels of Performance (PLOP) taken from TESTING/Assessments

IEP Meeting STEP 2 – Goals developed from the PLOP

IEP Meeting STEP 3 – Services required to Master the GOALS written

IEP Meeting STEP 4Accommodations/Modifications needed with the SERVICES to Master the GOALS

IEP Meeting STEP 5 – Placement that is the least restrictive environment to the child and the way that he/she learns where he/she will receive all the services to Master the IEP GOALS

This IEP Meeting process is specifically designed to work correctly so that the child’s needs are met with the proper support……

WITHOUT completing the PLOPS and GOALS…

YOU NEVER ALLOW THE TEAM TO EVER MOVE FORWARD IN THE CONVERSATION about IEP services —

Hold your IEP TEAMS accountability and make them stay on TRACK!
