What types of disabilities can I have an IEP for?

The federal law, Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) has 13 categories of disabilities. They include: autism, deaf/blindness, learning disabilities, emotional disturbance/ behavior disorders, speech and language, intellectual disabilities, visual impairments, traumatic brain injury, hard of hearing/deaf, hearing impairment, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, and other health impairment.
